I am an Assistant Professor of Cyber Security, Technology, and Policy at the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas.
As a scholar of international relations and public policy, my research advances our understanding of topics at the intersection of foreign policy, international security, and emerging technologies. In particular, I investigate the politics of cybersecurity policymaking using a mix of survey experiments and computer-assisted text analysis. My work has been published in Contemporary Security Policy, Foreign Policy Analysis, and Conflict Management and Peace Science.
I am also a member of the Latin American Cybersecurity Research Network and have held research positions at the National Center for Digital Government and the Center for International Studies on Government.
I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and M.A. in Political Science from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, and a B.A. in History from the same institution in Brazil.
